Find inspiration for your class humanitarian projects

We want to start a conversation about those inspiring students we all know who do good works in their schools and communities. The ones with the kind hearts and social consciences. We know they are the perfect counterpoint to negative news stories we hear about kids today.

So we've launched the 2011 Young Humanitarian Awards page complete with a Facebook fan page and Twitter feed. We love you to "like" us and follow us there so we can spread the word. We want to encourage students to kickstart their own humanitarian projects. Just as important, if you're looking for inspiration for your own class humanitarian projects, click through this wonderful list of selfless projects that have won awards.

We're The Manitoba Teachers' Society and If you have examples of great humanitarian work happening in your part of the world, we'd love to know about them.
