Hi everyone!

I just wanted to share with our colleagues here an article on children and programming titled Computational Thinking, Programming…and the Google App Inventor
that Charles Profitt (cprofitt) and I co-authored for the SmartBean magazine. Also shared in the article is a fairly exhaustive list of programming languages that can be used to introduce kids of various ages to ideas of programming, and more importantly, computational thinking.

We'd love to hear your views as well on programming for kids, and any programming languages and environments that we may have missed in the article.

Thanks!
Shuchi
