Hello! Currently, interactive whiteboards are being used in our early childhood classrooms... I'm wondering what other technology some of you may be using with your young children?

I teach kindergarten and we have Smartboards. We got them last year and I really found that I love them as well as the children. We use them with our reading series, calendar activities, math lessons. We also do a lot of (learning) games such as from abcya.com. I have done a lot of research this summer and plan on utilizing it more next school year. How did you use it in your classroom?
I teach first grade and we also have an iwb. We also have a wireless slate and the Senteo student response system. There are many activities you can do with this type of technology.

There are also a lot of web based activities for this age group. Childtopia and ABCya are two very good sites for Pre-K, K, and 1.

We also are starting blogs next year!! I am very excited about this.

A good website with some good Notebook lessons for a SMARTboard is http://teachnic.googlepages.com/home
She's also a good teacher to contact.

Also, you can look at my class website. Our blogs and portfolios are currently blank, but there is plenty of other stuff to look at! http://mrallen1.shutterfly.com
