7th and 8th grade books

I'm trying to put together a professional development seminar on Great Books for Students 7-12. I have the 9-12 portion easily filled, but I'm struggling to find interesting, well-written books for the 7th and 8th grades. I would like books written within the last ten years and that would be considered age-appropriate...no excessive cursing, no sex, none of those things middle school kids "can't handle". I am very interested in suggestions and hope you can offer me some great titles.
