Because the place was already made before this was posted. Because this is no different than the other ning sites for special ed teachers, university profs, specific campuses, etc, a place that is specifically geared to the discussions of administrators. Because social networking for some individuals is new and people want a specific place to go. Because some people aren't ready to share just like few people want their own administrator on the same network as they are on, for now. The same re4ason that Steve created Classroom20, Ning in Education and school20 - each has a place. Finally, because I don't find the forums, group within a group, concept to work real well.

No. It will be for administrators around the world where there may not be certification as in the US. Also, it would be great for those who are working on certification or interested in administration to enter the discussions.

Well, of course we'd accept you into our midst and hope that, with your knowledge and background, you will be able to add to our discussions. Being someone with children (7) and working toward hopefully landing a superintendent position, I know the amount of time that is needed in the pursuit of education. What is interesting is that many people who are doing quite a lot of work either have young children or children already out of the house. For those of us in the middle, there is the grand task of juggling work, family and all those other "extra-curricular" that come with the education territory. The group is not meant to leave anyone out but to be a place where the discussion really focuses on using technology in schools as viewed through the eyes of an administrator.
