It seems to me that teenagers today are often becoming more isolated while the world get smaller. I would like to try to use social networking to help move teens toward a better understanding of others around the world.

This is a formal invitation to folks to join a cross cultural social network for students 13 +

http://tlgplace.ning.com

I would like to begin this with students starting in January to share cross cultural lifestyles of teens - and to assist in language expansion - to give them a better understanding of how others their age spend time and school.

If any teachers are interested in joining with addition of students later, please either email me directly, through the list or just join.

Need more information - please ask.

Hi Sharon what a shame my students are to young for this! I will post your invitation on Edureshet, the Ning for Israeli educators, maybe someone there will be interested.
Susan.
Thank you Susan - I would really like to get this off the ground for my schools. The students tend to be quite sheltered from the world. How old are your students? Would you be interested in:

This is for students around 9-13 years - it is just getting started. The first "project" is to introduce your area / school / class.
