We are about to start a wiki collaboration with students about 10 - 12 years old. The purpose is Interlacing lives, culture and learning. Project title: Classroom Braids

My co-mentors and I would like to invite classes from other parts of the world to join us.
Anyone interested, let me know and I will send you the mentor wiki address.
The wiki is up, but not yet active: Classroom Braids

Hi
Can you give me some more details about the project?
Thanks
Kevin

Yes--same as Kevin H, some more details? It sounds full of potential--

4th/5th teacher
Absolutely,

The plan is to have a low key wiki based on 3 or 4 projects through the year. Goal of familiarizing our 10 - 12 year olds with long distance collaboration / communication. The name, Classroom Braids, is a metaphor for weaving together lives and cultures.
The first project will be a multi-media presentation of your class / town / state / country - using tools of your own choice. Posting these on the wiki - commenting through the discussions to each other. Ending with a collaborative page of our similarities and differences.

Future projects will come from the mentors and hopefully will be able to mesh with local curriculum - It should be a lot of fun for everyone.
