Prof. Martin Weller of The Open University’s Institute of Educational Technology is running a FLOSScom summer university which seeks to bring together students / educators / those with open source experience to develop a toolkit for learning the open source way.

The idea is that participants collaborate on the toolkit project and in the end produce something which is of use to others, similar to this Wikieducator toolkit

Sounds good right? Well either take a look at Martin’s blog for more details on how to get involved or leave me a message here!

I've been fascinated with open source for a while. It seems amazing to me that the code is updated so regularly and is of such high quality. More people should be pointing out what a unique creation it is. I just can't get over how it's been largely self sustaining for so long.
