Permalink Reply by Andrea Read on November 6, 2012 at 9:26pm Hello everyone. My name is Andrea and I have been teaching college-level courses for the past seven years. I started my career in the classroom using technology such as Smartboards, Blackboard Management Software, and electronic mail. My resources came from knocking on the doors of colleagues and depending on their willingness. My instruction included discussion, case studies, labs, and assessments. In the beginning, I graded using traditional methods such as paper and pencil or electronic submission via e-mail. Now, assignments are uploaded to a course management tool and I use this technology to grade and comment on their projects. Although I am very comfortable with technology, I feel that I am limited. Currently, I am taking courses to become certified in Applied Technology in Education. I know there are unlimited resources online, but I am not sure where to begin. I am navigating my students with their learning, but feel as though I could be providing more interactive tools online. If I can communicate online with other teaching professionals, I believe this will enhance my instruction and guide me in a direction. It is my goal to utilize current technology to enhance the learning experience in my classroom. Currently, I am teaching a computer applications course online. I want to provide more in-class instruction via the internet and welcome any suggestions regarding technology.

Permalink Reply by Jade Christyn Leonor on November 21, 2012 at 5:29pm Hi everyone! I'm Jade, from the Philippines. I am very interested in learning more about ICT. Right now, I am working as an online tutor while preparing for the licensure exam for teachers. I teach Mathematics to American students, and English to Japanese students. We utilize a virtual whiteboard for studying Math, and use Skype for having English conversation lessons. These tools are very useful in conducting online classes, so it's very interesting to know how we can also utilize such tools in the classroom. Looking forward to learning new things with you all! :-)

I am currently teaching the 3rd grade and will complete my Masters in Educational Technology from American College of Education before the end of January- WOOHOO!
I am interested in learning from others, getting feedback from ideas, collaborating, and networking to help provide ideas to the staff in my district to foster 21st century classrooms.

Hi everyone
I am presently studying an MSc in eLearning and Multimedia and building a short 6 week blended learning programme on Web 2.0 technologies for learning and teaching. I am immersing myself in Web 2.0 and feeling befuddled by all the expansive Personal Learning Network opportunities. Limitless learning. Where does it end?
Aloha, I am an ECSE teacher in Las Vegas, currently teaching Pre-school students ages 3-5.
Teaching is a career change I made 5 years ago because I wanted so much to make less money (just kidding).
I love children and can finally afford to teach. It's a beautiful thing to be positive part of so many lives.

I am originally from Michigan and am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University. Someday I would like to be a Director of Curriculum and Instruction for a school or head up Technology Integration for a school district. I wouldn't mind also teaching at a Community College. My husband is a school superintendent and we have two children. I enjoy boating, camping and traveling.
