Hi. I am the librarian for a small school district in Iowa. Our three schools are technologically well supported, with wireless Mac laptops available K-12. All teachers have laptops and the student/laptop ratio is nearing 2:1. Our Information Literacy curriculum is integrated into the classroom and dovetails with the Technology Integration and Services Plan.
I travel from building to building each day and have almost no paper files. I rely on my laptop, our server and Web 2.0 tools. I work with students and with teachers at all levels to blend meaningful use of technology with information literacy skills. I am a database fanatic and our district makes significant use of the subscription resources provided to us by the state and the local area education agency. I am very interested in helping bring meaningful Web 2.0 tools to our classrooms.

Hi everyone,
My name is Sean, I am a PhD candidate in Education at the Univ. of Illinois (urbana-champaign). Big fan of web 2.0 and what are the possible benefits to the virtual education format. I specialize in Philosophy, and am also working on an MBA simultaneously. I've used a few different formats so far in the classroom, and have been involved the the development of some new ones too. Excited to be a part of this community.

Hi, my name is Shelley Artelt. I have been teaching for 19 years, the last 12 in public school at 6th grade. This is still elementary school in Fremont, CA. I am always looking for something new to keep my students interested and me too!!
I am married, going on 34 years, have two sons, 21 and 28. I enjoy reading and playing Sims2 and words games on the Internet.

Hello,
I have joined a number of nings over the years and have not spent the time necessary to truly put in or get out much of value. After listening to Liz B. Davis talk about how important this ning is to her professionally, I decided to give it another try, this time actually putting in the time necessary!
I teach k-5 students in the computer lab every week. We use a variety of applications as well as many web sites. I search endlessly for the most excellent lessons as well as create many of my own. We all seem to get a lot out of a 45 minute block!
I also have a few teachers who embrace technology and who are on quests to integrate technology into their daily lessons.
We are a busy community of learners!

Hi! My name is Tina O'Block and I have a teaching supplies store in PA (O'Block Books). I am also an author of an alphabet curriculum for preschool and kindergarten (Now I Know My ABCs and a Whole Lot More) and an experienced teacher. I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Hello. I am a Technology Integrator at an Independent 9-12 school. We have 1-1 Tablet computer initiative, we use Moodle, and a variety of other technologies that are specific to academic areas. We have a TV studio that broadcasts with a 12+year old setup, and are a looking to move that a more current technology platform. Professional development is my main focus, and motivating faculty to use technology in new and effective ways. I am excited to find this site and hope to get new ideas, as well as contribute.

My name is Robin and am an intermediate school (grades 5-6) tech apps teacher. I don't have a tech background, but you learn what you teach! I love my job, and wish I started in this area years ago! I am learning that it's easy to become overwhelmed and to try and concentrate on one area at a time. I just set up my first blog minutes ago, and am searching for blogs to follow.
