Read Dan Meyers blog, he's got great ideas.
Thanks, I'm going to explore this right now! http://blog.mrmeyer.com/
He's been teaching about 4 years, I've never heard of a teacher reflecting on a lesson like he does. Enjoy.
Hi Greg,
Thanks for your tip about scbl - I thought I'd return the favour and suggest a site you may find interesting. I am part of an action research project in Australia (Collaborative Learning and RP about social networking and streaming media). One of the other participants is a Maths teacher who writes: "Last year I began to use blogs and wikis for providing support for senior mathematics students, linking these with resources produced in class (and out) using SmartBoards. This has evolved into a 24/7 maths support system combining a blog, wiki, Teachertube, IWB products and the college intranet." His blog (Chuck a Yonnie)is at http://athwaites.globalteacher.org.au/
I hope you find it useful!
Best Regards, Britt Gow
I use a pretty fun website: the math games. It has a bunch of free games including a cool one on decimal place value...what's really cool is that you can create your game leagues for just your own students...this means that your class can have it's own high scores tables.
