I am trying to get some funding for a project to bring the web into UNconnected classrooms, but I need stats to support the need (we all know stories of those "others" out there...). Any help is appreciated:

Thanks.

OK, I am bumping this up...I am sure you know teachers who may, on paper, have the Internet in their school but have no practical way to SHARE it with a class (not available in the room where they teach, no projector, unreliable connection, use of projector requires one-month-advance request, no professional development EVER on using technology -- espec. teachers who did not start out with INternet available, policies that require prior admin approval of every web site to be visited, etc.).

Please SHARE the barriers -- so we can try to help knock them down. The irony is that WE have it....and those who don't don't even know what they are missing. Their students may know even less, especially if they lack access at home. Extend a hand with some info, please.

Thanks.
