Hi, just wanted to enquire if there were any other members who teach pupils with severe learning difficulties. Also wanted to find out about the sorts of technologies people are using, specifically with regard to non readers / pupils with physical access difficulties.

This is also a great interest of mine. Thanks for prompting this discussion/what is sure to come.
Next month I will be meeting with my district special Ed staff to collaborate on resources such as forms, templates, and such, but also discuss software and online tools that work well. I can certainly pass those on, but if you have any to pass this way or a direction, please do. My site is www.professortosa.com and I am limited on special ed resources.
Yes, this is an area of interest (ok, really a passion) of mine. Please check out my blog - http://teachingeverystudent.blogspot.com and specifically my most popular blog post - Free Tech Toolkit for UDL in all Classrooms. It's a link on the right side of my blog and has many free resources that will benefit your students.
Karen,
This looks outstanding. I will work through all of this and please keep me in mind when you find things of interest and significant use to your students. Well done.
I'm not a teacher, only a student. From my experiences looking at other fellow students, sometimes the problem is one requiring personal development and motivational literature to solve. :)
