I have been exploring and playing around with interactive educational video generators such as EdPuzzle, EduCanon, and Versal.

Now, I am wondering if a similar platform exists for creating interactive podcasts (from pre-existing podcasts or even teacher- and student-created podcasts)??

I am currently working with teachers in grades 6 and 9 who have asked me about Web-based tools and SmartPhone apps to build and reinforce listening comprehension skills. I immediately thought of podcasts. I would love to hear ideas about how to teach with podcasts in a way that supports standards for listening comprehension and, in turn, academic language development.
Talking stick to promote good listening skillstag:www.classroom20.com,2013-01-09:649749:Topic:9013602013-01-09T14:07:08.456ZJacqueline Thomashttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/JacquelineThomas609
Dear all, does anyone have experience of using a Talking Stick to promote good listening skills with literacy students?
I used it today, with a biro not a fancy stick, and it helped one learner at least to see the value of taking her turn when talking in a group discussion. I would be very interested to hear of any direct experience of using this technique in adult groups.

Do you ever use the www.rtve.es site in your Spanish classes? I tend to follow the I+1 philosophy (but more like I+3 sometimes). I was wondering if anyone uses the site for reading and listening comprehension, or perhaps in any other creative ways. I normally attach the links and the follow-up activities to Moodle, but have also done paper-and-pencil activities after viewing/reading from rtve. Thanks!

I am trying to create a list of the best websites for listening in English classes. If you wish to contribute, the wall is here http://www.wallwisher.com/wall/listening. Just double-click to add a sticky note.

I teach 4th Grade, and this year have been given a listening center to use. Basically a CD player with up to 8 headsets to use with it. We have our whole group literacy class texts on CD and onlevel and below level guided readers on cd.

I was just wondering if anyone would like to share how they use listening centers in their classroom. I have never really had the chance to use one before. Any ideas, suggestions, or creative uses would be appreciated.
Thanks.

This site has piqued my interest in training students to listen - in order to learn - considered vital for dyslexics and ESL students who can't handle printed text that well.

Are there other good class teaching materials (for adults as well as children!) I could be directed to?
